At this time military officials and emergency crews are currently on scene at Lemoore Naval Air Station in Fresno County, California, following reports that an F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jet belonging to either the U.S. Navy or Marine Corps as the crashed happened in a nearby field. Authorities have confirmed that the pilot successfully ejected and was transported to a hospital for evaluation and possible injuries. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and Cal Fire are assisting at the scene as federal investigators prepare to take over the investigation.
